Ambique

Ambique is without question our most challenging project on el culto. The name is a play on the words „Ambient" and „Unique", and it perfectly represents the music released there.

The concept of this project is unique and very exciting: every Ambique release always features different el-culto artists. Each album is like a "morphing" of the different signatures of all artists included.

The starting point is either a great mood, texture or even a single touching tone. In the next step, it is sent to selected artists. Their additional parts are then sent back to Tomas Weiss, whose function is to serve as a kind of „collection point". Depending on the complexity of the material received, it may be sent again - even multiple times - to other musicians. In the final step, everything is merged into a deep, mystic and vast-sounding Ambique album.
