Amtana

The project name Amtana is the word inversion of the Buddhist term "Anatma". The meaning of Anatma can be roughly described as "infinite emptiness", "without limits" as well as "non-existent".

Amtana was founded in the mid-90s by Sanjay Nadeem and Klaus Wiese with the aim of musically expressing this thoughtful, mystical term. Many previously unreleased albums were produced by Nadeem and Wiese up until Klaus' sudden passing in 2009. From there, Sanjay decided to keep the Amtana idea alive and he expanded the project for collaborations with other artists as well.
