Official policy

We are a musically open minded artportal and deal with various music-styles. We automatically come in contact with many other scenes or appear to be a part of some.

I´ve taken a closer look at these scenes recently and unfortunately have recognized movements and ideologies which show highly alarming structures and connections.

This is the reason for this public form of distancing ! To be specific we are concerned about the portals / distributors called TESCO, Ironflame and Heimdallr. In my personal opinion, these institutions list a lot of artists and support, present or distribute artists and bands who publically "play" with glorification of violence, life or human disrespect as well as with extreme right wing tendencies or symbols.

Unfortunately, because of the very complex and dense distribution structures and the resale of sound carriers between the distributors, it is possible that our CDs also appear there. Therefore a kind of inclusion of our music in those environments can not be completely excluded. But even the simple listing of our music inside these portals / distributors, next to certain bands (see link below) is definately not acceptable to me !

Unfortunately specific "artists" are responsible for the direct connections between extreme ideologies and certain music styles. In this way the purpose of art is falsified. The result for other artists who have absolutely nothing to do with this is disastrous. They then seem to be also representing those ideologies, and this only because they produce the same kind of music as these radical representatives ! This situation is more than dangerous, it means that a whole music genre will be labelled accordingly.

Therefore - as the responsible person for el culto - I want to make a clear statement of dissociation with all aspects of the above !

"Der Blutharsch", "Death in June" and "Boyd Rice" are just a few names which are part of "TESCO" - I will not give the links to the internet sites or Myspace pages of these bands, because they show a dramatic direction and tendency (in form of text, colours, symbols or fonts) which I really despise. Just for you to understand better my explanations - I suggest that you do an internet search for these bands and that you take a thorough and honest look and then make your own mind up !

In particular the further links given on those sites give a clear impression to any intelligent person of the dimension and the direction of those ideologies !
